1. Overview & Core Privacy Promise
RawToDNG ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed with user privacy as a fundamental principle. The application is a standalone photo utility designed to batch convert camera RAW image files into Adobe DNG format directly on your Android device.
🔒 100% Local Processing: Your photos, metadata, and files NEVER leave your device. All image decoding and DNG packing occur strictly offline on your hardware. We do not operate remote servers for image processing, nor do we upload, copy, or transmit your photos.
2. Information Collection and Use
We do not collect, store, or share personally identifiable information (PII).
- Images & Photo Files: Accessed solely to execute local file conversions requested by you.
- Personal Data: No accounts, logins, emails, names, or phone numbers are requested or collected.
- Analytics: We do not track user activities or browsing behavior within the application.
3. Android Permissions & Justifications
To perform its intended functions, RawToDNG requests the following system permissions:
Storage & Media Access (`READ_MEDIA_IMAGES`, `READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`)
Required exclusively to allow you to select RAW photo files from your storage or SD card and save converted DNG files to your device gallery or output folder.
Foreground Service (`FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC`) & Notifications
Used solely to keep long-running batch conversions active in the background without being prematurely terminated by Android's memory management, and to provide dynamic conversion progress notifications.
4. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
RawToDNG uses Google AdMob to display non-intrusive advertisements that support the ongoing maintenance and development of the app.
Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID or Android ID), IP address, and technical device information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Google Play Developer Policies.

5. Children’s Privacy
RawToDNG does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
